This is a reminder for all the participants in the upcoming race to get your gear together, stay with us and practice for your high elevation biking endurance test. We have a beautifully paved path through the woods from here to the rim. You may want to give us a try.
Although you should know better than to try to hike down to the river and back in one day, we suggest you book 2 days with us. One to arrange your hiking gear and rest up to leave at sunrise, and a second night to rest from your amazing journey. You'll be very sore, we call it the "canyon shuffle". Your body won't need a long drive until you get your sleep.
